Tiffin Motorhomes Claims 2011 Class A Crown

Tiffin Motorhomes Inc. finished 2011 as the nation’s No. 1 manufacturer of Class A motorhomes, according to the company. In 2010, Winnebago Industries led the market for Class A units.

Tiffin led all other RV manufacturers with a 21.1 percent share of the Class A market in 2011, which is 3.2 percent higher than its 17.9 market share in 2010, according to the company, citing Statistical Surveys.

“We appreciate the collaborative effort of our dealers and manufacturing team, and our loyal following from the Tiffin Motorhomes family of coach owners,” said Tim Tiffin, general manager. “As we look ahead to 2012, we’ll continue our commitment to customer service, supporting our dealers and doing what’s right for our customers.”

Tiffin’s Phaeton model also ranked as the top-selling diesel pusher for the sixth consecutive year, according to the company.

A family-owned business, Tiffin is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Its brands include the Allegro, Allegro RED, Allegro Breeze, Phaeton, Allegro Bus and Zephyr.
